How can I use Novelo?

All you need to do is click here and add the Novelo application to your Facebook Page. Novelo is free to use - all you need is a Page (you can create one if you don't have it yet clicking here).

Can anyone sell items on Novelo?

Yes! Novelo is flexible, so it can be used by anyone. Small stores and brands, big retailers, crafts people, artists, bands - Anyone with something to sell can use Novelo.

How much do I have to pay to use Novelo?

Novelo is free to use - we don't charge any sign up or monthly fees for our basic service.

Why is Novelo so cool?

Think about it: every time a Facebook user visits your Novelo storefront, he/she may Like, Comment or Recommend your products to his/her friends, which in turn may Like, Comment or Recommend your products to their friends, and so on. This "buzz effect", also known as mouth-to-mouth marketing, acts as a spontaneous, free and viral publicity for your business.

Why do I need to create a Page to use the Novelo application?

Facebook distinguishes Profiles (personal accounts) and Pages (business accounts). Therefore, if you´re going to open an account for personal use, choose the first option. If you want to advertise your business, choose Pages. Their greatest benefit is that they rely on capabilities specially developed to help stores and brands to attract visitors. On the Page, you can create and advertise events, add video links, track visitor traffic statistics, see how many people ‘liked’ your business, open space for suggestions, as well as include Novelo´s shopping cart.

I've just added Novelo to my Page. What's next?

When you install the Novelo application, you'll see a walk-through asking for some information regarding your store.

After filling in the form, you can start to add products and prices and your store will be opened to public.

How can visitors buy my products?

Your Novelo Storefront includes a shopping cart - visitors can add products to it, checkout and pay without ever leaving your Facebook page.

Will I be notified when a visitor buys something in my store?

Yes! You'll received an automatic email every time you close a sale. You can also view the status of your orders by accessing the Store Management area on Novelo.

Your customers will also be informed by email about their orders and be able to track their status online!

What are the fees that Novelo charges?

The fees vary according with the payment system used by the user (PayPal, PagSeguro, MoIP, DineroMail or Bank Slip). Novelo doesn't charge any additional transaction fees.

How do I receive my payments?

You can choose how you want to receive your payments: by bank slip or directly into your PagSeguro, MoIP, DineroMail or PayPal account. To select an option, go to the managing area of your store, click on Settings>Payments and fill the form with the required information.

What does the option "Use Facebook as my business" mean?

Facebook offers this option to users that want to keep their identities secret when managing their business’ Page. When you choose “Use Facebook as my business", whenever you publish a content in your Page, the author will be your business, not you.

What´s the difference between Page and Profile?

Pages are business accounts for stores or brands – if you own a business and want to advertise it on Facebook, you should choose the option Pages. Profiles are personal accounts. If you don´t comply with this rule and create a Profile for your business, Facebook may delete it. It´s not worth the risk.
